Royal Oak Forge stands proudly in the centre of the picturesque village of Betws-y-Coed. Known as the 'Gateway to Snowdonia', Betws is a place renowned for its incredible beauty, award-winning food, and its long history dating all the way back to the 6th Century.

 

Founded by Aaron Houghton in 2020 amidst the lock down Royal Oak Forge has been steadily growing and rooting itself in the local history.​

In the forge itself we we we specialize in offering Blacksmithing classes and  and experiences for those who are looking to get into the craft or even those passing through who just fancy trying something new whilst in the area.

Along side our classes we get up to a wide range of things as a workshop, from making historically inspired commissions to working with Film and T.v.

​

We also operate outside of the Blacksmithing craft, working also in historical combat tuition as well as photography.
