Royal Oak Forge stands proudly in the centre of the picturesque village of Betws-y-Coed. Known as the 'Gateway to Snowdonia', Betws is a place renowned for its incredible beauty, award-winning food, and its long history dating all the way back to the 6th Century.

Within the workshop walls we create all manner of historical metal wares; from sharpened 13th Century arming swords and painted kite shields, to ornate Norse bead separators and reenactment-ready spears.

On top of our commission work we also host single and couple blacksmithing lessons, giving our guests the opportunity to experience the life of a blacksmith; stoking the hot flames, hammer in-hand, working the metal into their own masterpiece.
